| Last weekend my 3-year old Xbox console finally gave up and flashed the three lights. After a short visit to the official Xbox website, where I had to put in the serial number of my console and some of the standard contact details, I was really surprised by the level of service Microsoft provides in order to keep and satisfy it's customers with a defunct product. Although the 1-year warranty on my model of Xbox expired ages ago, I was still eligable for a replacement/refurbished console. Shortly after leaving MS with all my details, I received an e-mail from UPS in order to arrange a pick-up date for the Xbox. Wow, they come to you at a place and time most convenient for you to pick it up and return to MS. Now I had to look for a box that was big enough to fit the Xbox, yet small enough not to make the console juggle inside. I bumped into the retail box of my 2008 version of the Sony PS2, that surprisingly enough, just fitted the Xbox. Like it was made for it! While packing, I thought why not take some pictures of this paradoxal ritual. |
